Colour Temperature and White
Balance
The colour temperature of the light source is measured
in Kelvin (K). The higher the Kelvin value is, the more
bluish is the light; the lower the value, the more reddish
is the light. This is not directly related to the brightness.
The illustration shows the relationship between natural
light, artificial light and colour temperature.
